PHOENIX, AZ — August 2026 — Real Modern Terrain Arts (RMTA) is planning to specify its first 10 park models from Bowlus, the American heritage manufacturer of luxury travel trailers and RMTA's official hospitality brand, for placement on a newly platted lot in North Phoenix. The park models are slated to serve as the opening act of a phased development that will, within months, transition into architect-designed prefab housing by Brick & West, built by United Tiny Homes — bringing modern desert amenities, including electric fireplaces, to every Phase One unit.
The planned Bowlus park-model specification represents RMTA's intended first park-model selection and establishes a design vocabulary for the site's earliest structures. Ten Bowlus park models are planned to be sited across the newly platted parcel, each positioned to preserve sightlines, minimize disturbance, and introduce the public to RMTA's terrain-responsive design philosophy while permanent infrastructure advances.
“Bowlus builds the most beautifully engineered travel trailers in America — they're artifacts as much as they are shelter,” said Ben Brosseau, Founder of Real Modern Terrain Arts. “Planning our first 10 park models around Bowlus lets us activate the lot immediately and set the aesthetic tone for everything that follows. Within months, those same pads would give way to architect-designed prefab homes by Brick & West, built by United Tiny Homes.”
From Park Models to Permanent Architecture
The Bowlus park models function as an interim activation on the newly platted lot, generating early revenue and community presence while permanent foundations, slope analysis, and hillside grading advance. Once entitlements are secured, the park-model pads transition into architect-designed prefab housing — a handoff from mobile luxury to permanent, terrain-responsive modular residences.
Architect-Designed Prefab by Brick & West
RMTA has engaged Brick & West as the architectural partner for the permanent housing program. Brick & West will design the prefab residences that replace the park-model activation, drawing on RMTA's hillside design standards — permanent foundations, massing sensitivity, native-material palettes, and low-impact grading.
Built by United Tiny Homes
United Tiny Homes returns as RMTA's manufacturing partner, translating Brick & West's architectural designs into precision-engineered modular units at their Goodyear, Arizona facility. United Tiny Homes previously partnered with RMTA on the Sunnyslope and Caminito Hillside communities.
Modern Amenities for Phase One
Every Phase One unit — whether a Bowlus park model or a permanent prefab home — will be equipped with a curated suite of modern amenities, including an electric fireplace, climate control, smart-home integration, and desert-modern interior finishes. The electric fireplace was selected as a signature Phase One feature: clean-burning, off-grid compatible, and architecturally expressive.
Phased Development Timeline
- Now: Bowlus park-model specification in progress, lot platting complete
- Months 1–3: Planned park-model activation and site infrastructure
- Months 4+: Transition to permanent prefab housing by Brick & West, built by United Tiny Homes
- Ongoing: Hillside grading, revegetation, and entitlement advancement
The activation positions the newly platted lot as RMTA's most fully realized phased activation to date — a site that opens with Bowlus luxury and matures into architect-designed prefab housing within a single development cycle.
