PHOENIX, July 2026 — Real Modern Terrain Arts (RMTA) is advancing a bold new vision for North Mountain Village: a 5-acre hillside destination combining an Airstream micro-resort with architect-designed prefab homes by United Tiny Homes. The City of Phoenix has completed its Fact Finding review, clearing the path for RMTA to move into formal entitlement for one of the city's most distinctive terrain-responsive infill projects.
The plan introduces a 20-unit Airstream hospitality experience set against the desert hillside, paired with a next-generation modular housing community designed to blend architecture, landscape, and slope-sensitive development. The City confirmed that architect-designed prefab homes may be considered for the site with permanent foundations and hillside-appropriate materials, while the Airstream activation will proceed through a rezoning to C-1 and a Special Permit for RV Park classification.

RMTA’s phased approach includes platting, slope analysis, hillside inventory and salvage, grading and drainage review, and coordinated access planning. The interim Airstream resort will operate in compliance with Phoenix’s short-term rental regulations, offering a new hospitality experience while infrastructure and hillside approvals advance.
The combined concept positions North Mountain Village for a fresh chapter of desert-modern living — one that merges design, mobility, and modular innovation on a hillside site with sweeping views and strong neighborhood connectivity.
