Modular Housing Pioneer Intersects Architecture, Narrative, and Community Engagement Through High-Impact Media Activation
PHOENIX, AZ — Real Modern Terrain Arts (RMTA AuxBlox) today announced an open casting call for Thrillervision Alley, an original horror short film and media project set to film in Scottsdale, Arizona. Auditions and production will take place at Grounds on 2nd, bringing together local actors, dancers, filmmakers, and community members.
Thrillervision Alley is designed as a timeless, highly stylized homage to classic ensemble narrative production. The initiative bridges site-responsive design with public narrative, inviting performers of all experience levels to participate in both featured roles and group sequences, culminating in dedicated screen credits for every character.
Bridging Architecture, Culture, and Community
RMTA’s venture into high-concept media production reflects the company’s broader philosophy: housing and urban environments are fundamentally about human connection and place-making. By hosting community-centered cultural activations like Thrillervision Alley, RMTA fosters active local engagement in the spaces where people live, work, and gather.
“Architecture isn’t just about physical structures—it’s about the stories, energy, and communities that inhabit those spaces,” said Ben Brosseau, Founder of Real Modern Terrain Arts. “Whether we are assembling modular infill housing or producing a community-driven film project, our core objective remains the same: creating impactful, site-specific experiences rooted in Arizona.”
About AuxBlox: Modular Infill Designed for the Block
Underpinning RMTA’s architectural vision is AuxBlox™ (“Think inside the Block™”), a terrain-responsive, infrastructure-ready modular housing system designed to address urban housing challenges across the Phoenix metropolitan area.
Rather than relying on land clearing or traditional sprawling subdivisions, AuxBlox utilizes a block-by-block infill strategy. The system deploys Made-In-Arizona, factory-built modular units into existing urban footprints—such as Sunnyslope and the Garfield Historic District—tapping into established municipal utility lines and adapting seamlessly to local topography. By working with the land rather than against it, RMTA delivers permanent, energy-efficient, and accessible housing while strengthening neighborhood character.
